Matthew hails from Los Angeles, California, USA. As the lead instructor, he conducts courses from Open Water to Divemaster and specialty courses, as well as the Emergency First Response and DAN Oxygen courses. When not leading or instructing, he is an avid underwater photographer and aspiring videographer. Dive

Geoff is from the UK, where the waters are cold and dark, not like the temperate and beautiful waters of Izu. As the head PADI Divemaster, Geoff helps divers to plan the dive and dive the plan, and is the expert on Mikomoto. He has a keen eye for finding nudibranch and other marine life, and takes some wonderful photographs. Dive Equipment: Oxycheq 45 lb. Tamara is from the Netherlands, and is our special instructor for junior divers and children. She is very tough, as the waters in Northern Europe are very cold compared to the temperate waters of Japan! Favorite Dive Site: Atami or beach dives
Clarke is from Canada but his heart is in the warm waters of Thailand. He somehow gets by in just a shorty wetsuit in the temperate waters of Izu. Favorite Dive Site: Kittene in Ajiro for the various fish life and two huge sea fans. (Dive site map of Kittene made by Kevin with Clarke Yagihara.)
Kevin is from Hawaii and is the Business Development Manager for Mar Scuba. He finds new opportunities for Mar Scuba to serve the foreign diving community. John is from Canada and feels that every scuba dive in Japan is like diving in a bathtub since the waters are so warm (to him). He is a Zen Meditation teacher and the Environmental Consultant for Mar Scuba, also helping out with Reef Check Japan to do coral reef surveys.
