Emergency First Response Care for Children Course

Overview

The Emergency First Response Care for Children course teaches the layperson to provide emergency care to an injured or sick child. The course content focuses on primary and secondary care for children (one to eight years old) and infants (less than one year old).

Participants per Class

In order to ensure personal attention and effective hands on skills development, there is a minimum of two (2), and maximum of twelve (12) participants per course.

Please contact us if you are interested in taking this course; we will be happy to accomodate groups, but will also schedule a course if there is enough individual interest.

Course Details

Students should study course information including Participant Manual and DVD independently and be prepared by completing the Knowledge Reviews before the course begins. Academic session will cover Knowledge Reviews and course topics.

Participants learn and practice the sequence, steps and techniques during skills development. The following are covered during the course:

  • Scene Assessment and Barrier Use
  • Primary Assessment
  • Child CPR
  • Infant CPR
  • Conscious Choking Child
  • Conscious Choking Inflant
  • Serious Bleeding Management
  • Shock Management
  • Spinal Injury Management
  • Injury Assessment
  • Bandaging
  • Illness Assessment

The Emergency First Response Care for Children course price is 18,900 yen and includes:
