Welcome to the Mar Scuba site for information on underwater housings for digital cameras. Another site completely dedicated to underwater digital imaging is Ed Cheng's Wetpixel pages and the forums there. Also, Digideep has a complete database of manufacturers and models. Jeff Farris has an excellent forum on his Digital Diver site. Upfront disclaimer: We sell products from Ikelite as well as Olympus, Inon, and other manufacturers. You will see from my product recommendations and other ramblings that I state my biases and opinions up front. On this site there are no annoying banner ads or pop up advertisements, just my lame design and (hopefully) fast loading pages with lots of information. I subscribe to the "best viewed by any browser" camp, especially in these days of the ever increasing web sites that you must use a specific browser to view. Recently, I have been using Microsoft FrontPage (gasp!) to make pages, so if you can't view the pages correctly, please let me know. What you do get from my site is information, and lots of it, and while I keep promising to post graphics and sample photos "real soon now"....well, like they say in scuba diving, don't hold your breath. I'm trying to keep the information current rather than spruce the site up with graphics. The goal of this site is to provide clear, accurate information in order to help you to make a decision regarding the purchase of an underwater housing for digital photography. This site has a focus on consumer cameras and housings. We leave the discussions for the finer points of expensive housings for dSLRs on forums such as Wetpixel.
